This article explains how to install and calibrate the PI Wind Direction sensor on iMETOS 3.3, METOS 5 and μMETOS devices.
Before You Start
- PI wind direction sensors are factory‑calibrated, and no user action is required. However, the attachment of the vane, followed by the installation of the sensor on the post, should be as shown in the image below:
- If you choose to calibrate the sensor, the METOS 5 and μMETOS devices provide an additional calibration function described in one of the manuals in the attachment below.
⚠️ iMETOS 3.3 DOES NOT SUPPORT calibration. For installation, refer to the above image only.
➡️ Direction wind sensors must be aligned with true north (geographic north).
